Darren Day Did Someone Say Christmas
Many are new, and others are inspired by famous and familiar tunes by classical composers – but reimagined with clever lyrics to bring on the holiday cheer. Three well known Christmas songs have also been included for good measure!
Early-level arrangements have the student play the melody split between the hands, with starting hand positions given in keyboard diagrams. Optional duet accompaniments create a fulfilling musical experience and add to the fun.
Easy solos, which give the student an opportunity to play hands-together, lay comfortably under the hand and are marked with helpful fingering. Changes of hand position are also marked to further aid learning. There’s also a piece included for working on reading chord symbols, as well as a handful of engaging activities to strengthen listening skills, develop inner hearing, explore improvisation – and even test Christmas trivia knowledge.
