An eight string ukulele creates a sound unlike any other ukulele–strong, and full of character. While tuning an eight string ukulele takes more time than tuning a four string ukulele, the playing difference is not widely different, as your fingers will feel each course of two strings as a single larger string. Like the standard four string Flight Iris Concert and Tenor models, the Iris 8 boasts a painted solid spruce top with laminate mahogany back and sides. The Iris includes a pickguard, slotted headstock, rear-facing Der Jung tuners, offset front position markers, a 45mm nut, compensated saddle, fluorocarbon strings, and deluxe gig bag.
