Overview

The Spira B-400 MBK is a modern four-string electric bass designed for players who need powerful, defined low-end response and comfortable playability. Part of Spira's 400 Series, it combines a lightweight roasted poplar body with a roasted maple neck and fingerboard, delivering a contemporary instrument suited to rock, metal and other high-energy styles.

The roasted poplar body provides a balanced foundation, while the roasted maple neck offers stability and a smooth playing feel. Its Modern D neck profile and 13.75" fingerboard radius support fast movement across the fretboard, making the B-400 well suited to technical basslines, riffs and melodic fills. With 24 jumbo frets, players can access a full two-octave range across the neck.

A pair of custom Spira Villain Bass active ceramic soapbar pickups delivers a tight low end, pronounced mids and an aggressive attack to help basslines cut through a dense mix. The straightforward volume and tone controls make it easy to adjust the sound, while the fixed bridge and black hardware complete the guitar's understated, modern appearance.

Finished in Satin Black, the Spira B-400 MBK combines performance-focused features with a sleek design, making it an excellent choice for bassists seeking a contemporary instrument for practice, rehearsals, recording and live performance.
