At the heart of the CD1 is a three-piece maple neck-through-body construction reinforced with graphite, designed to provide stability, sustain and excellent access across the fingerboard. The ebony fingerboard features a 12"-16" compound radius, 22 jumbo frets and pearloid block inlays. This combination creates a comfortable playing surface for everything from precise rhythm work to fast solos and wide bends.

A pair of Seymour Duncan humbuckers — a JB SH-4 at the bridge and a '59 SH-1N at the neck — delivers a versatile range of tones, from aggressive high-output distortion to warm, articulate cleans. A three-position toggle switch and individual volume controls for each pickup, alongside two tone controls, provide straightforward tonal shaping. The six-saddle vintage synchronized tremolo adds expressive vibrato, while the included Jackson CD1 Foam Core case provides protection for transport and storage.

Jackson sealed die-cast locking tuners support reliable tuning stability, while the Graph Tech TUSQ XL string nut provides a low-friction contact point.
