Top: Solid Sitka Spruce
Sitka spruce provides clear articulation, strong projection and a wide dynamic range that’s ideal for both strumming and expressive playing.

Back & Sides: Solid Mahogany
Mahogany offers warmth and focused mid-range response with rich low-end support, complementing the spruce top for a full, balanced acoustic voice.
Together, these woods deliver the D-18’s signature blend of clarity, presence and classic dreadnought sound.

Elegant Craftsmanship & Detailing
Every detail of the D-18 reflects refined build and heritage craftsmanship:

• Rosette: “Old Style 18” multi-stripe rosette around the soundhole.

• Bridge & Pins: Ebony bridge, compensated bone saddle, with ebony (or black/ABS) bridge pins.

• Binding / Style: Black binding (or faux tortoise pickguard) and “Style 18” purfling detail.

• Finish: Gloss top and back/sides finish, satin neck finish.

Neck, Feel & Hardware

• Neck: Select Hardwood with GE Modified Low Oval profile and High-Performance Taper for comfortable playability.

• Scale Length: 25.4″ (approximately 645 mm) delivering traditional dreadnought feel.

• Nut Width: 1 3/4″ (≈ 44.45 mm)  classic width for many players.

• Fingerboard: Ebony with Old Style 18 abalone dot inlays.

• Tuning Machines: Nickel open-gear tuners with butterbean buttons.

• Bracing: Forward-shifted X-brace (GE scalloped) for tonal responsiveness and projection.
