The Taylor 117e is a full-size acoustic-electric guitar that introduces Taylor’s Grand Pacific round-shoulder dreadnought body shape into the accessible 100 Series. Designed to deliver a warm, seasoned “neo-vintage” tone, it features a solid torrefied Sitka spruce top paired with layered sapele back and sides, producing a balanced sound with clear projection and strong low-end presence.

Taylor’s roasting process for the spruce top adds a mature, played-in character, while C-Class bracing enhances volume, sustain, and bass response. Combined with a slim, easy-playing neck and built-in Expression System 2 electronics, the 117e is equally suited for practice, performance, and recording.
