Hello, my name is Rory and I am a teacher, pianist, and writer.
I have a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from the Royal Northern College of Music. I have worked as a teacher and recital accompanist at the University of Manchester, and I am a regular contributor for Piano Professional magazine.
I am a fourth-generation teacher with over a dozen years of teaching experience. I have taught piano and music theory independently and in selected schools, and I mentor a number of professional piano teachers. I teach students via Skype and Facetime in Northern Ireland, England, and across the globe.

Royal Academy of Music graduate, Liz Boyle BA(Mus.Ed) LGSM, MMus, DioAdvRAM
Liz teaches PIANO, KEYBOARDS, MUSIC THEORY and VOICE since 1991.
Following piano study with Elizabeth Bicker in Belfast, Liz received degrees and diplomas in piano from Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and Guildhall School of Music, Liz toured with Scottish Ballet while completing her Masters of Music at Edinburgh University.
A Northern Ireland Arts Council Bursary enabled her to study with Colin Tilney at Dartington Summer School. Liz completed postgraduate study at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London. She taught at top London day schools and performed at Purcell Room South Bank, Barbican Centre and at the Wignore Hall with ‘Purcell at the Playhouse’.
She prepares pupils for Associated Board exams.
Piano (and/or composition) lessons
I studied piano at RCM and composition at GSMD and the Royal Danish Academy of Music.
As a composer, my recent commissions and performances include pieces for the London Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Slovenian Philharmonic, BCMG, IEMA, London Sinfonietta and the Zurich Chamber Singers.
I have been featured at leading music festivals including ManiFeste, Lucerne and Sorø, and represented Ireland at ISCM ‘World Music Days’ 2015. In July 2016, I was awarded the Royal Philharmonic Society composition prize. My PhD in composition was supervised by Richard Causton at Cambridge University.

This is an excellent opportunity for all ages to learn to play a new instrument to complete exams or for fun. It is also for people who would like to pick up their instrument again.
