MATCHETTS NOW ACCEPT TRADE-INS
Attention all guitar enthusiasts! We're excited to announce that our shop is now accepting trade-ins for preowned guitars. If you have a guitar that's just collecting dust in your closet, bring it in and trade it for something you'll love playing!
As part of our trade-in policy, we've implemented a 1-5 grading system for assessing the condition of the guitar. Here's what each grade means:
5 - Like New - Guitar is in pristine condition with no visible signs of wear and tear.
4 - Excellent - Guitar shows only minor signs of use, such as light scratches or scuffs.
3 - Very Good - Guitar has been used, but well cared for with only minor cosmetic defects.
2 - Good - Guitar has some visible wear and tear, but is still playable.
1 - Fair - Guitar has significant wear and tear, but is still functional.
Why should you buy a second-hand instrument from Matchetts Music?
At our guitar store, we understand the allure of owning rare, vintage guitars, as well as the appeal of more modern, industry standard models. That's why we offer a selection of second hand guitars at fantastic prices! However, because our inventory of second hand guitars is constantly changing, we suggest acting quickly to secure the guitar of your dreams.
To provide you with the most accurate information about our second hand guitars, we've created a simple rating system. Each guitar is carefully evaluated by our in-store experts who meticulously check for any issues and then grade it accordingly.
Our rating system ranges from 1 to 5, with 5 being in "as new" condition and 1 showing heavy wear and tear. A guitar rated 4, for example, may have minor cosmetic blemishes such as small scratches or dents, whereas a guitar rated 2 may have noticeable scratches, dents, and chips.
We take great care to ensure that each guitar is in full working order, regardless of its rating. This way, you can be sure that your guitar is ready to play, no matter its condition. So come in and check out our selection of second hand guitars, and find your perfect match today!
- Bring your guitar into the store, instruments will need to be left 24-48 hours overnight for inspection.
- We will evaluate your instrument.
- If accepted we will offer you an evaluation price to trade in against another instrument or Bank Transfer
- Once an instrument is accepted we will clean, polish and take professional graded photographs of every instrument.
Please note that our grading system is subjective and based on our own assessment of the guitar's condition. We will inspect the guitar thoroughly to determine its grade and trade-in value. If you have any questions or concerns about our grading system, please don't hesitate to ask.
In order to complete a trade-in transaction, we require that customers provide photographic identification. This helps to ensure that the guitar being traded belongs to the customer and is not stolen property. We take the safety and security of our customers very seriously, and this is just one of the measures we've put in place to protect everyone involved in the trade-in process.
It's important to remember that our trade-in policy is subject to change at any time. We reserve the right to decline any trade-in for any reason. Additionally, we cannot guarantee that we will have a suitable replacement guitar in stock for trade-in. We encourage customers to call ahead and inquire about our inventory before coming in to make a trade.
Overall, we're thrilled to offer this new trade-in policy for preowned guitars. We believe it's a great way to help customers find new instruments they'll love, while also giving old guitars a second life. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about our trade-in policy, please don't hesitate to contact us. We look forward to seeing you soon!
