A piano and a keyboard might look similar but they are two different instruments. Here are a few of the questions we get asked.

Do I need to buy a keyboard or a piano?

In simple terms if you are going to undertake piano lessons then a piano based instrument is what you should buy.

If you are going to attend a keyboard class then it is going to be a keyboard that you need.

The music is the same is, or is it?

No! If you learn keyboard from the start it is all about drum beats,

accompaniment styles and Chords on the left hand with only a single note

melody, treble clef, on the right.

For piano the method is a bit slower at the beginning using both hands

and learning to read the music for the treble as bass clefs.
